Volunteer Opportunity: MedGlobal clinic in Bangladesh, serving Rohingya refugees, in need of volunteers for 2020

Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, currently hosts the world’s largest refugee camp, with more than 1.24 Million Rohingya in need of humanitarian assistance. We operate in a primary care clinic with our local partner, OBAT Helpers, and are in need of the following medical specialties:

  • Internal Medicine
  • Family Medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Emergency Medicine
  • General Medicine
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Physician Assistants

For more information, view our Bangladesh program page.

The clinic currently sees close to 2,000 Rohingya patients per week providing primary care, emergency care, free medications, and referrals. We are also working to establish training programs for the local and refugee populations.

It was a memorable trip. Witnessing first-hand the challenges and hardships Rohingya refugees are facing and witnessing the amazing humanitarian work being carried out by so many organizations for these refugees.” – Dr. Abdul, General Practitioner
