MedGlobal has been saving lives in Syria since 2017. As the country moves from crisis toward recovery, we are helping rebuild a stronger, more resilient healthcare system by restoring hospitals, expanding access to essential health services, strengthening the healthcare workforce, and delivering lifesaving care.

Our Impact
How It Works
MedGlobal operates through five field offices—Homs, Damascus, Tel Abyad, Raqqa, and Idleb/Aleppo—supporting hospitals, primary health centers, nutrition teams, and vaccination programs. Alongside lifesaving care, we run a specialized mental health center for survivors of torture and detention, while rehabilitating health facilities and strengthening services through critical medical support.
MedGlobal delivered 479,842 health services across Syria, including internal, pediatric, and specialized care. We screened 58,534 women and children for malnutrition, admitting 2,470 into treatment programs. Through our specialized mental health services for survivors of detention and torture, we helped reduce average PTSD symptoms by 35%, while continuing to strengthen hospitals, healthcare workers, and communities as part of Syria’s long-term healthcare recovery.
MedGlobal combines global medical expertise with local leadership by engaging diaspora doctors to train and mentor frontline teams in areas such as ICU care, mental health, and ultrasound. By restoring essential health services and working closely with local partners, our programs strengthen health systems, rebuild trust, and support long-term recovery across communities in Syria.
