After years of conflict, Syria’s healthcare system remains deeply damaged. Hospitals have been destroyed, medical equipment is outdated or missing, and millions of people still struggle to access essential care.
MedGlobal is working alongside Syria’s Ministry of Health, United Nations agencies, local partners, and Syrian diaspora medical experts to rebuild the country’s health system through the Syria Health Recovery Initiative—restoring services today while creating a stronger foundation for tomorrow.
In 2025 alone, MedGlobal has delivered more than 311,000 free health services across Syria, providing lifesaving care through primary healthcare, hospitals, dialysis, mental health support, immunization, and recovery programs.
We support six primary healthcare centers in Idlib and Aleppo, operate emergency services at Al-Rahma Hospital, and provide critical dialysis treatment while expanding access across the country. We are also rebuilding Syria’s health system by rehabilitating hospitals, establishing specialized units, supporting survivors of torture, and training more than 1,000 healthcare professionals.
While progress is underway, millions of Syrians still lack reliable access to quality healthcare and the need remains immense.
